The 2022 edition, number 79, of the Venice Film Festival has just ended and on the red carpet, in addition to famous actors, starlets and directors, precious jewels that have added an essential touch of elegance to the international event.
In the spotlight of the Lido, bracelets, necklaces, earrings and accessories worn by those stars who make us dream every day on the big screen were paraded in all their brilliance. From the creations of the high-end jewelery houses to personalized items, there was just about everything.
Of course, when you walk those few meters of red carpet, it is important to show off unforgettable looks but, to please the hordes of photographers eager for shots, it is important to embellish your clothes with refined jewels. Precisely for this reason celebrities and stylists always add that “sparkling” touch. Whether it's gold, diamonds, brooches, platinum, it is often the precious ones that steal the show from the stars. Let's see together what the trends have been this year.
Great classic:
the yellow gold set worn by the fantastic Catherine Deneuve embellished with diamonds, onyx, emeralds was an excellent choice to receive the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement.
Pure sparks:
those offered by the diamond and white gold necklaces worn by Alice Pagani, Jessica Chastain and Grace Elizabeth.
A touch of color:
Jodie Turner Smith and Alessandra Ambrosio chose sparkling and colorful stones and shapes. Cones, stars, snakes, inspirations from high fashion houses, the important thing is to be elegant but with a touch of originality.
An example of style and formal elegance was offered by Bianca Brandolini D’Adda who chose a geometric necklace / earrings combination worn on a minimal black dress. Pink sapphires and opal, on the other hand, embellished the neckline of the singer Gaia.
Fashion and femininity icons were the actress called to open the event, Mariacarla Boscono and Zendaya, bearers of breathtaking emeralds.
To close, a special mention to the charming and smiling Valeria Golino, able to show off two twin rings made of two diamond-studded chains.
The Cameo as a synthesis of tradition and innovation: a centuries-old history that was born in ancient times
Rome and that reaches the decollete of the most beautiful and elegant women thanks to the skill of the
master engravers who make a simple shell unique, unrepeatable, exclusive.
Torre del Greco has been the home of the Cameo since 1800, when the boats returned from Africa
they carried large quantities of shells as ballast and the Torresi began to express
their creativity on this material they had in abundance.
Today Cameo is synonymous with stylistic research and innovation: the old image of
classic jewel, the new models represent the most varied subjects, the reproductions of icons or paintings
famous, symbols and images that can also have an emotional value for the wearer.
Whoever chooses a Cameo today is an extremely feminine and unscrupulous woman who loves
mix styles and who hates “glamorous labels”. Not classic, not contemporary, not
modern, not traditional. An elegant woman

Hollywood. Cameos worn by Cate Blanchett, Sarah Jessica Parker and Rihanna filled the pages
printed to celebrate the rebirth of a precious, unique and inimitable jewel.
The Cameo is no longer the classic and traditional jewel but has become the fashion accessory, the
pret a porter jewel, to wear on any occasion: from gala evenings to red carpets, but
even for a simple aperitif with friends.
After Cate Blanchett's catwalk on the red carpet in Venice and the super-youth collection of
cameos signed by Rihanna, the Cameo is now the undisputed star of the outfits of the stars of
Hollywood.
